Lauren Pollock hated piano lessons as a child and quit piano at the age of fourteen. In spite of her loathing of piano lessons, she participated in marching band, concert band, jazz band, and orchestra all through her high school years. In college, she studied music and performed with the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Orchestra of Southern Utah. And then, in 2012, she became that thing her fourteen-year-old self most despised… a piano teacher!
