Valerie is the business owner and founder for 23 years of Lessons On The Lake Music Arts Academy. Her previous music education accomplishments was right after completing her student teaching. She was hired right after completing her student teaching becoming a Middle and High school Music teacher in Athen, Ga. After a year in Georgia, Valerie returned to her hometown of Canton, Ohio to be hired as an Elementary Music teacher accomplishing 10 years of teaching in Ohio. In January 2000 Valerie moved to Lake Norman, NC where she was hired as an Elementary teacher for the Mecklenburg public schools. Valerie has completed a combination of 14 years of teaching music in public schools.
